In November of 1997 Brian was severely injured in an automobile accident. Brian sustained a Brachial Plexus injury to his left arm leaving him with a permanent disability. Over the last ten years Brian has undergone thirteen surgeries and continuous therapy. Initially Brian had no use of his left arm below the shoulder. Fortunately the numerous surgeries have enabled Brian to have limited function of his left arm to the wrist.
Most recently Brian was seen in Louisville, Kentucky by his surgeon Dr. Bridenbach. At that time Brian was experiencing sensation in his wrist and fingers. The medical team used injections to address pain issues and Dr. Bridenbach directed Brian to monitor this progress and return once the sensation reached his finger tips.
